Fan speed, Netflix queue, AC energy saver,
sleep timer, white noise, skincare.
Blackout curtain, light-filtering shades,
thermostat, car seat position, online Starbucks order.
Oat milk.
Saturation, light balance, Facetune, ambiance,
Capsule wardrobe, finsta, Spotify playlist.
Facebook group, fandom, twitter bio, snap avatar.
Color scheme, highlights, wolf cut, vibes,
Outfit, sunglasses, fingernails, butt size.

Vegan recipes, morning pilates, wing sauce flavors,
Scheduled Amazon delivery, shades of beige, Iphone or Android.
Almost everything in our lives can be set or chosen to our exact preference.
And our routines and rituals only become that more elaborate,
While every other person becomes more strange.
And nobody has time for each other anymore,
Lest we interrupt our precious routines
Picked out for us by our
feeds.
We’ll hate each other soon,
For disrupting one another's curated ways of life.
Each person becoming more isolated in their own world
Of borrowed opinions and self-righteousness.
I suppose we have always been this way,
Now we are just a bit more sophisticated.
